About · Editorial

Hello. I am Thomas.

Solo web consultant from Windisch in the Aargau. Since 2017 I have been building, marketing and maintaining websites and shops for clients across Switzerland. One person, not a corporation.

01

How I got here.

  1. 2002

    The first website

I am 15, sitting at a PC in my childhood bedroom. Out of curiosity, with no plan. The site goes live and works. I have not stopped since.

  2. 2017

    A hobby becomes a job

First client projects alongside my regular job. Soon I realise it no longer fits on the side. I decide to go full-time.

  3. 2021

    tomventures GmbH

My own company, a clear framework, my own invoice. Based in Windisch, working with clients across Switzerland.

  4. Today

    One contact for everything

Concept, design, copy, hosting, maintenance, marketing. Larger projects belong here too: shops with several thousand products, links to accounting, migrations out of old systems.

A website is a tool, not a show. What I build should still work in five years.

02

What guides me.

  • 01

    Craft over hype

A website is a tool, not a show. I build things that still work in five years. If something only shines briefly, we leave it.

  • 02

    One person, one head

You talk to the person who also builds it. No account management, no ticket system, no shifts in between. That scales more slowly, but it is more honest.

  • 03

    Enough is enough

If your current website runs well, I say so. If a project is not a fit for me, I say that too. I would rather not sell things nobody needs.

  • 04

    Tools in the background

I use AI as an aid, not as the end product. Every text passes through my hands before it goes live. That stays that way.

03

When I am not building.

A website rarely lives in a vacuum, and a person even less so. A few words on what else is part of the picture:

  • I trade the financial markets and am building my own product around it.
  • I spend time with family and friends in the Aargau.
  • I read, cook and head into the mountains when the weather allows.
  • I tinker with smaller side projects, mostly over the weekend.

Let us talk.

A first conversation is free and without obligation. If you write me a short note, I read it myself and get back to you within one business day. If it fits, we look further. If not, I tell you honestly.

See you soon, Thomas
