FAQ

Common questions.

  • What is included in the fixed price?

    The agreed scope is delivered at the agreed price. Changes during the project are quoted in writing before they are implemented.

  • What does hosting cost separately?

    I generally only offer hosting together with maintenance. Hosting only, without care (CHF 19), is available in exceptional cases for existing clients with static sites.

  • WordPress or custom-built?

    WordPress if you want to maintain content yourself and prefer a familiar editing interface. Custom-built (e.g. Astro) if performance and long-term stability matter more. We decide in the first conversation.

  • Can existing sites be moved over?

    Yes. Migration from WordPress, Wix, Jimdo, Squarespace or a custom solution onto my server. With a maintenance plan, the migration is free.

  • How long does the maintenance plan run?

    Minimum term of 12 months, billed yearly. After that, cancellable at the end of any month.

  • What happens with plugin conflicts?

    Updates are first tested on a staging environment, then applied live. If problems come up, I roll back to the last working state. That is part of the maintenance plan.

  • Email through your server too?

    No, deliberately not. Mail stays with your existing provider (Hostpoint, Metanet, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace). That way web and mail problems stay separate.

  • What if I want to move away?

    You get a complete backup and all access. No lock-in clauses, no migration fee. I help coordinate with the new host.

  • Who is the domain registered to?

    To you. The domain always stays registered in your name, I only manage it technically.

  • What if I need more support?

    Through hourly packages. Maintenance clients get 10 percent off.
